Module 3 – Behaviour Assessment and Welfare Evaluation

This module develops advanced skills in assessing animal behaviour, welfare and quality of life using structured, evidence-based assessment frameworks. Students learn to observe, interpret and document behavioural, physical and environmental indicators of welfare while considering species-specific needs, emotional states and quality of life. The module also examines communication of assessment findings and collaborative decision-making to support optimal welfare outcomes.
