This module examines the practical application of infection prevention and control measures within occupational therapy practice. Students develop knowledge and skills in standard and transmission-based precautions, hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene, personal protective equipment, environmental cleaning and the management of infectious diseases and exposure incidents. Emphasis is placed on maintaining safe, person-centred and occupation-focused practice while ensuring continuity of care across diverse service settings.
